Faber signs Michael Broers

We are delighted to announce that Faber have commissioned Dr Michael Broers of Lady Margaret Hall, former winner of the Grand Prix Napoléon to write a major new biography of Napoleon. This will be a comprehensive narrative life, steeped in the recent scholarship and driven by the new edition of the correspondence, but with a flow and a passion for the personal story that will attract a wide readership. Of Michael's recent Napoleon's Other War Professor John Lawrence Tone wrote, "this is a tour de force of comparative history that very few scholars aside from Michael Broers could accomplish". We are confident that when it is completed the same and more will be said of Napoleon, Soldier of Destiny.
