Chris Sidwells

Chris Sidwells - Tour Climbs: The Complete Guide to Every Mountain Stage on the Tour De France (Harper Collins 2009) is a freelance journalist and author who specialises in the sport and pastime of cycling. He has written five books, Mr Tom- The True Story of Tom Simpson (Mousehold Press 2000), The Complete Bike Book (Dorling Kindersley 2003), The Bicycle Repair Manual (Dorling Kindersley 2004), A Peiper’s Tale (Mousehold Press 2005) and Cycling for Fitness (Dorling Kindersley 2006). His books have been translated into 14 different languages and have been best sellers in their genre at home and abroad.

Chris currently contributes to every issue of the two top English language cycling magazines; Cycling Weekly, Cycle Sport, Cycling Active and Cycling Health and Fitness which are all part of the IPC Media group. He has also contributed to Cycling Plus, Cyclingnews.com, Running Fitness and the Sunday Times, and he has presented a short documentary about cycling for the BBC. He contributes regularly to Men's Fitness, Motor Caravans and the American magazine, Bicycling.

Chris is also an active racing cyclist, who has ridden up all of the mountain climbs regularly included in the Tour de France; he is a qualified fitness instructor and cycling coach, and he has a degree in geology.
