David Jefferson’s - Tobruk- A Raid too Far - naval service and lifelong passion for sailing has led to a number of books published with maritime themes including yachting and Cruising guides. Three of these have run to several editions. It was while interviewing veterans for a book about WW11 Coastal Forces that he became aware of  previously unpublished disclosers about the disastrous raid on Tobruk in September 1942. Further research by the author has revealed many more accounts from those who took part in Operation Agreement who have, until recent years, been reluctant to talk about their experiences.

David has been a regular contributor to a wide range of sailing magazines over many years and has given yachting related talks at clubs and associations.
