Martyn Whittock - A Brief History of Life in the Middle Ages (Constable and Robinson 2009) is a Medieval historian, a comprehensive-school teacher, speaker and author of history books written to bring history alive to modern audiences. His various books have sold  over 700,000 copies (in all editions and derivatives) since 1991. He is currently writing a Brief History of the Third Reich for Constable and Robinson.
