Cecil Jenkins
Cecil Jenkins (A Brief History of History of France – Constable and Robinson TBA) was a reader in French at Sussex University where he was Dean of European Studies before taking early retirement. He has written books on both André Malraux and François Mauriac and was Joint winner of the Crime Club’s Competition for the best crime novel to be written by a University Don! He has written for the stage and two Radio 3 plays and other radio pieces, including a series on French chanson. Besides working for seven yeas in Paris he has also owned a house in Southern France.
