Simon Caulkin - The Light and the Dark: the Struggle for the Corporate Soul was The Observer's management columnist for 16 years. A previous editor of Management Today, he has collaborated on books and reports with a number prominent business academics and the Advanced Instiute of Management Research. He was the Industrial Society's (now Work Foundation) National Newspaper Industrial Journalist of the Year in 1997, won the Management Consultancies Association/Management Today award for the best management article of the year in 2004, and was the Work Foundation's Columnist of the Year for 2009.
