Dan Wilson is a freelance consultant and writer specialising in internet marketing, ecommerce and online communities. Part of the team that founded eBay.co.uk in 1999, he worked for the company until 2006. His first foray as an author was Make Money on eBay UK (Nicholas Brealey) published in 2005 (2nd Edition, 2006). It was repackaged and extended in 2007 as Make Serious Money on eBay UK, - also N Brealey - which was updated again in 2008. Nearly 50,000 copies have been sold.

During his time with eBay he held several diverse marketing and product related roles. From 2003 - 2006, he served as Community Manager, primarily in charge of the site’s online community forums and representing customer concerns within the business. He also presents at eBay University teaching up to 500 people at a time how to use eBay. Since May 2004 he has taught more than 6000 people how to use eBay at 32 events all over Britain and Ireland. Recently he has worked with a variety companies offering consultancy and strategy advice on using the 'social web' to market goods and services.
